“Rooms were clean and about as nice as you would expect, for the price range. The beach was not as clean or nice as on the Wyndham across the bridge, but still a very enjoyable stay. I did get chased by a skunked when I was trying to enjoy a nighttime stroll along the water. But it's not the fault of the hotel. LOL. The staff was friendly and the The breakfast bar was adequate.”

“Best Bargain on the Lake: This place was the place to be in the 80s. We would have all loved to stay here. Here’s the thing, it’s still great. Has it aged? Yes, in the same way grandmas house has aged, in a good way. Is the dresser kinda thing old? Yes, is the tub avocado green? Yes. But folks, it’s on the lake and comes in WELLLLLL under what the Hampton Inn sells for a night. Just as clean/ it’s just old. I can get over that. Bed was comfortable and the shower has better water pressure than The Grand Hotels. If you are a Gen X you are going g to love to play with your grandkids on the playground you used to play on. Same beach, air conditioned room, a short walk to Mexican food and margaritas. Do your wallet a favor and give it a try.”

“Great location- every room faces Lake Huron. Our room was clean and comfortable. A standard continental breakfast is available from 7-9 am. The staff is friendly and helpful.”

“Obviously old school layout but my room was very nice and nicely updated. Saw reviews talking about updates. Minor needed and what is left is ok in my opinion (color of tub and toilet and cool lamp on the desk). Very friendly staff. One of the more comfortable desk chairs than I am used to. Very comfortable couch, comfortable sitting chair near the sliding door with a beautiful view (and decent lawn chairs on a large balcony with that beautiful view). Seemingly comfortable bed. Nice decent sized TV that allows for tap in with HDMI. Good water pressure which I like. Other than the high fees and taxes which vary from area to area, the price is great for what you get. Will stay again and would recommend.”
